Orangi Town Medical Camp
The feeling of contentment I had after we packed up the camp was one that was worth all the effort put into setting up the camp. That moment made me realise that I would put in the same effort, if not more, just to improve people’s health and livelihood. The heat was made bearable by the smiles on the faces of the young children I was allowed to help. Not only did it make me realise just how privileged I was, it incentivised me to use my privilege in the best way possible and help those that are less fortunate.
It’s one thing to be donating to a cause, but being there on-site and seeing how those donations are implemented made me realise just how important our donations can be to make the lives of hundreds of people better.
